Android is one of the most used and popular operating system for tabs and/or mobile phones. Most of the tabs or smartphones devices are generally touchscreen devices. However there are many android devices that have a trackball or comes with a provision to connect a external mouse or keyboard. When using a mouse with the android device then there is a need to change the mouse speed as per your needs. This post explains the steps to change mouse speed in android.
Step 1 : Navigate to settings
On the android device, amongst all the icon is the icon to go to the settings. It is a icon with somewhat wheel like image and ‘settings’ written below it. See below screenshot. Click on this the ‘settings’ icon.
Step 2 : Select Input option
After clicking on the settings icon, a screen with a list of different options will be presented. On the left hand side column a list of all the different settings that can be change will be displayed. One of the option there will be ‘Language and Input’. Select the language and input option.
Step 3 : Select Mouse/Trackpad option
Once the language and input option on the left column is selected, on the right hand side a list of all the settings related to language and input devices will be displayed. Search for a option named ‘Mouse/Trackpad’. The ‘Mouse/Trackpad’ section will display a option named ‘Pointer Speed’. This option needs to be selected to customize the Mouse Speed.
Step 4 : Select Option ‘Pointer Speed’
On clicking the ‘Pointer Speed’ option, a box will be displayed with a slider bar to adjust the pointer speed. You can slide the bar and increase or decrease the speed of the mouse pointer as per the requirement. Click ‘OK’ for the changes to take effect.
